Dear Municipality/Public Agency:
In April of this year, Governor Fallin signed HB-1951 into legislation which changes the Oklahoma Underground Facilities Damage Prevention Act §63-142 and requires all Municipalities (aka Public Agencies) with underground facilities/lines to become a member of the Statewide One-Call Notification Center (known as Oklahoma One-Call or OKIE811) and to locate their lines within 48 hours after receipt of notification. This law becomes effective November 1, 2016.
Members are expected to fully utilize the One-Call and 811 to ensure notifications are made to have underground lines located, to participate with all other members in protecting excavators from injury and to protect all underground facilities from damage. Take time now to get your membership setup so that your agency will be in compliance with the Law in advance of the November effective date. There is a one-time membership setup fee* of $325.
The 2017 Fee Schedule* which will be used beginning Nov 1, 2016 for billing members annually. For members incurring fees, the first invoice under this fee schedule will be issued in November 2017 for tickets and any premium services occurring between Nov 1, 2016 and Oct 31, 2017.
