Sign-in to the OKIE811 app.
On the OKIE811 mobile app home page, select “Enter Ticket”.
Review your Excavator information to ensure no changes need to be made before submitting the ticket.
If changes need to be made, select “Edit”. Select the field you wish to edit. Once you have finished with edits, select “submit” to save your changes.
Please note that all required fields are in red.
Under the “General” section, select the “Work Type” taking place at the dig site. Tap the field to activate a drop down menu. This menu contains multiple work types; select the work type that best fits the excavation you are doing.
In the “For” field include who you are doing the work for such as “Homeowner” or business name.
In the “Extent” field, enter the amount of time you anticipate the excavation will take.
If you will be using Explosives for your excavation, tap the button, it will turn green
If the excavation location is marked with white, tap the button, it will turn green
If you will be doing directional boring, tap the button, it will turn green
The Dates section of the form is for reference. OKIE811 members have 48 hours ( 2 business days) to locate lines by OK law. The “Work On” and “Work At” fields contain 48 hour/2 business day date and time. Please note: The actual work date and time is based on when the ticket is processed and you receive a ticket number. Your confirmation email will include that specific date and time.
The “Update By” date indicates the 8th business day from the present date. For ongoing jobs, OKIE811 suggests an update every 8th business day to continue excavating on a valid ticket number.
The “Good Until” date indicates the 10th business day from the present date. This is the date your ticket is good until if processed that same day.
Next is the “Work Site Area” – The “State” will default to OK. Tap the “County” field to access the drop down menu and choose the County the work is taking place in.
If your locate request includes an address, fill out the Address number, Prefix, Street Name, Street type and Suffix (if applicable).
If your work site does not have an address, enter the Street Name the work is taking place on in the Street Name field. The Street Name field is the only required field within the address fields.
Enter the closest major intersection to the dig site. Please provide entire street names including prefix, street name, street type, and suffix as applicable.
Under the “Work Site Details”, provide the “Locate Area”, this should describe where the excavation is taking place on the property such as Front yard or east side of house.
Provide driving “Directions” if there is no address, the address is rural or it is a newer street that may not be on maps. Provide directions from a major intersection and include mileage and compass direction all the way to the location, including what side of the road it is on. Identifying information is helpful also.
In the “Remarks” field, enter any GPS Coordinates, legal descriptions, access issues, and/or any additional info that may be helpful to locators.
If you are currently at the dig site location tap “Get location” and the GPS Coordinates will be pulled and added to the ticket for reference. You will be asked to verify you are at the work site. Select “Yes” if you are at the work site. Press “No” if you are not. If you select “Yes”, you will be prompted again with a reminder of how the Get Location features works, Click “OK” to continue. The GPS Coordinates will now be populated in the Latitude and Longitude fields.
If you would like to manually enter GPS coordinates, type them into the Latitude and Longitude fields. Please note: you will only be able to enter the coordinates in Degrees format (D.D). Be sure to include the negative sign in the Longitude field.
If there are “Access issues”, drag the slider to the right, it will turn green. Please provide the specific access issues in the “Remarks” field of the request.
If you would like to include a job number or name, enter that information in the Job Number field.
When you are ready to submit your request, click “Submit”.
Once you click on “Submit” your ticket is being sent to the OKIE811 center and is pending. You will be prompted if you would like to enter another ticket or not. If you would like to enter another ticket, select “Yes” and the form will automatically be cleared and you may begin entering your next ticket.
